The 20th annual Maryland Writers' Association's annual conference gives writers the opportunity to hone their craft in sessions led by established authors, instructors, and experts. Sessions are for everyone; beginners and published writers alike in a wide range of subjects. Come explore the many worlds of writing with us.

  • MWA Members: $130
  • Non-Members: $160
  • Anniversary dinner registration: $30 (FREE with Maritime Institute hotel reservation!)
  • Agent/editor session registration: $30
  • Maritime Institute hotel reservation: $130 per room per night (includes one Anniversary Dinner FREE! per room reservation)
  • (to become a member now, complete a membership registration form and submit it along with your conference registration form)

Agent and Editor Critiques:

 

Agents and editors will be available for individual critique sessions on Saturday! Sessions are $30 each. Signup information is on the conference registration form.

Please note: agent interview slots are filling up and may not be available. Meetings will be scheduled in order of registration. Scheduling fees will be refunded if your meeting cannot be scheduled.

Bookstore:

 

This year Daedalus Books will be managing the conference bookstore. Daedalus is a discount bookstore that normally sells remaindered and discounted books. MWA is very excited to have them participating in MWA's signature Annual Conference.

If you are a MWA member and would like your books to be sold at the bookstore, contact Denise Camacho at dbcamacho@hotmail.com by Tuesday, March 25 with the following information:

All books that are not available through normal distribution chains will need to be supplied by the author the day of the conference. The author is responsible for supplying their books to Daedalus. Neither Daedalus nor MWA will assume responsibility for books left after the conference concludes.

Remember, the deadline for MWA members to apply to sell their books at the conference bookstore is Tuesday, March 25! If you bring your books the day of the conference with the intention of having them sold at the bookstore without pre-arranging their sale, Daedalus will not be able to accomodate you.

Daedalus will receive 20% of the retail price of every book sold, no exceptions.
